GES4SEAS Spotlight at the 1st DOORS Stakeholder Conference

Dr. Elena Bișinicu, a member of the NIMRD team involved in the GES4SEAS project, made a significant contribution to the 1st DOORS Stakeholder Conference held in Bucharest on April 23-24, 2024. The conference, with the theme “Black Sea Futures: Science, Prosperity, and People,” provided a platform for experts to discuss the future of Black Sea research and innovation.

During the event, Dr. Bișinicu presented a poster titled “Opening Doors: Enhancing Dialogue for Ecosystem-Based Management (EBM) in the Black Sea,” co-authored with Laura Boicenco and Luminita Lazar. This presentation highlighted the collaborative efforts under the GES4SEAS project to advance ecosystem-based management in the region, fostering dialogue and understanding among stakeholders.

The conference was a vital opportunity for sharing insights and advancements, with Dr. Bișinicu’s intervention emphasizing the project’s commitment to integrating scientific research with practical applications for sustainable marine governance. Her participation reaffirmed the role of GES4SEAS in moulding impactful environmental policies and practices for the Black Sea.
