Register for the 20th Edition of GES4SEAS Summer School: Bridging Science and Policy

This year’s Summer School, happening from June 11th to 13th in San Sebastian, Spain, promises an immersive journey under the theme “Bridging the gap between marine science and policy: Communicating for an informed society and decision-making.” In its 20th edition, the event is organized inside the framework of Horizon Europe projects like GES4SEAS, OBAMA-NEXT, BiOcean5D, ACTNOW, Marine SABRES and MARBEFES, focusing on effective science-policy communication.

Spanning three days, each dedicated to a specific audience, the school combines insights from scientists, journalists, and policymakers, aimed at making science actionable for policy decisions. Early career to senior scientists, communicators, managers, and policymakers are invited to debate this pressing issue, enhancing skills in transmitting ideas from marine science to policy arenas effectively.

With a rich agenda featuring practical and theoretical sessions, participants will explore tools and methods for science communication, engaging with experienced professionals in the field. This summer school is a unique opportunity to deepen understanding and engage in critical discussions at the intersection of marine science, policy, and societal impact.

Register now to join this important conversation and contribute to bridging the gap between marine science and policy.
